Compress image to 20KB

Get photos and signatures under 20 KB for application forms.

or drop them here · paste with Ctrl+V

What it does

Many government and exam application forms limit photos and signatures to 20 KB. Upload your image and it will be brought under 20 KB automatically, ready to attach.

How to use it

  1. Click “Choose images”, drop one or more images onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
  2. Each image is brought under 20 KB. If lowering the quality isn’t enough, it’s also scaled down, and a note tells you the new size.
  3. Check the final size next to the download button, then download the file or get everything as a ZIP.

Common uses

  • Applicant photos for exam and government portals
  • Signatures on online application forms
  • Photo uploads on older systems with small file limits

Tips

  • Resize to the form’s required pixel size first, then compress here.
  • Use a plain, light background: smooth areas take up almost no space.

Questions

Will the form accept the result?

Check the form’s other rules too: many also ask for exact pixel dimensions or a JPG file. If a pixel size is given, resize to it first, then compress here.

Why does my photo look soft at 20 KB?

There’s very little room for detail, so large photos are scaled down. Crop away the background first so your face fills more of the picture.
