Compress image to 100KB

Sharp images under 100 KB for profiles, CVs and documents.

or drop them here · paste with Ctrl+V

What it does

A 100 KB photo is a good balance for profile pictures, CV photos, forum avatars and images inside documents: it looks sharp but stays light. Drop in one or many images to get each under 100 KB.

How to use it

  1. Click “Choose images”, drop one or more images onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
  2. Each image is brought under 100 KB. If lowering the quality isn’t enough, it’s also scaled down, and a note tells you the new size.
  3. Check the final size next to the download button, then download the file or get everything as a ZIP.

Common uses

  • Profile pictures and avatars
  • Photos inside CVs, Word documents and slides
  • Forum and marketplace listings with upload limits

Tips

  • Insert the compressed image into documents instead of the original to keep them small.
  • Compress a copy and keep your original for printing.

Questions

Is 100 KB good for a website image?

For thumbnails and in-article photos, yes. For full-width banner images, 200 KB or more avoids visible compression artifacts.

Does it keep my photo’s dimensions?

Usually. Most photos reach 100 KB by lowering quality alone; only very large or detailed images are also scaled down, and you’ll see a note when that happens.
