What it does
Drag the box to choose what to keep. Crop freely, lock it to a square for profile pictures and thumbnails, or cut a circle with a transparent background for avatars. The image never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Click “Choose an image”, drop one onto the box, or paste it.
- Pick Free, Square or Circle, and rotate the image if it’s sideways.
- Drag the box or its corners to frame what you want to keep. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move it and Shift + arrows to resize.
- Click “Crop image” and download the result.
Common uses
- Square profile pictures for social media and chat apps
- Round avatars with transparent corners for websites and slides
- Cutting distracting edges, objects or people out of a photo
Tips
- Rotate first, then crop, so the box lines up with the straightened image.
- Use Square for avatars: most sites show a circle but store a square image.
